I must applaud JTC for this initiative. It is quite refreshing to see males being highlighted in a profession that is dominated by our great Jamaican women. I also hope that it encourages more males to join this noble profession especially at the primary school level of education. It is a fact that boys learn differently from girls and in our society most of our boys lack the guidance that a father should provide. Our male teachers help to shoulder that responsibility and believe me, it makes a huge difference.
